What's snack supper?

Snack Supper is the meal that the YOUth eat together on Sunday nights.  It is NOT intended to be a full
dinner for the YOUth but it assumes the YOUth have eaten Sunday lunch and is intended only to give them
a little pick-me-up.

Here are some answers to some frequently asked questions regarding snack supper.

1.      Why does the Youth Ministry provide snack Supper?

Ø      Just as the early church met together and broke bread, we feel that eating together can foster

       relationships through fellowship.

Ø      They are teenagers.  Free food is a HUGE selling point.

Ø      We are Methodists.  Nothing important can get done without food.

2.      I would like to help with snack supper.  What is expected of me?

Ø      to provide drinks and serve, to have it ready to eat at 5:00 pm on Sunday evening, and help clear things after snack supper is over.

Ø      Volunteers are encouraged to eat with us, talk to the kids, and build some new relationships.

Ø      You are always invited to stick around for the lesson and participate if you desire.

3.      What about paper goods?

Ø      The Youth department provides plates, napkins, cups, etc.

4.      What about dessert?

Ø      Anything sweet that you bring will be greatly appreciated and promptly devoured.

5.      Can I prepare supper in the church's kitchen?

Ø      The answer is yes; please leave it as you found it. All dishes must be washed, dried, and put away.

6.      What kind of food will I help serve?

Ø      Some of our favorites are:

Ø      Tacos(Mexican)

Ø      Chicken fingers

Ø      Chinese

Ø      Burgers/dogs

Ø      Sandwiches

Ø      Pizza

7.      How many youth should I expect?

Ø      About 35 - 40

9.      What should I do with leftovers(if there are any)?

Ø      The leftovers, if there are any are yours to do with as you choose.  Take them home or leave them

here for the upcoming weeks activities, meetings, etc. Please discard any perishable items.

10.  Any other tips?

Ø      Youth are not scary or even difficult to talk to.  The best way to get to know them if to ask them

about themselves.  Some of them would really love to share those opinions with you.  Mainly just

        show an interest in them.
